ACADEMIC TRAINING
Fernando Díaz obtains the Official University title of SUPERIOR ARCHITECT by the ETSA of Madrid. 1988. He studied with Rafael Moneo (1996 Prizker Prize), Juan Navarro Baldeweg and with Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oíza in projects I and later in his chair where he obtained outstanding marks in Project III.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
He has 32 years of professional experience in numerous projects as an Architect and Director of Works. He has carried out numerous works throughout the national territory both in public and private areas of new construction and rehabilitation, as well as in Portugal. Expert in Bioclimatic Architecture and Energy Efficiency of buildings as well as pathologies. First Architect to develop the concept "Emotional Rooms", emotional spaces, as a plus for buildings, especially hotels, as a line of work within the studio. The study also prepares all kinds of reports and judicial expert opinions on expropriations and valuations, structural pathologies, installations, humidity, etc.
STYLE
His style is within Contextual Rationalism. He understands architecture as a study process both of the context where the building is located and of the economic aspect to respond to the program of needs according to the client. In this way, each project results in a building with its own image. He does not believe that architecture should be subject to trends, fashions or recognizable signatures anywhere in the world.
